Hi...

I haven't posted in forever... We have been having a fabulous summer. Lots of playing on the big blow-up waterslide we went in on with our neighbors. Jett has the GREATEST tan line I have ever seen! The boys just started swimming lessons and Jett is loving it! Grey...not so much! I am not really in the mood to post pics right now, but I have a ton of pics to catch up on, so my next one will probably be mostly pictures...

Also, I am considering going private...maybe not, I can't decide...There have just been some stuff that makes me wonder if we would be safer that way...what's your opinion?

New York

We just got back from New York! We had such a fabulous time. Shane was asked to speak on a panel at a big business conference so all of the guys on the Silverleaf team got to come and represent. They had a booth with info about their company. Two of the guys wives and my in-laws came too. So the girls had fun being tourists during the conference. We did sneak in and see Shane on one of the panels...I was really proud of him. All of his hard work is really paying off. He was probably one of the youngest people there, everyone else had like 20-30 years work experience. Haha. He works really hard and is so smart. I have to say that I really think Shane has grown alot since starting this company. (Thanks for listening to my husband boast, I'm just really proud of him, can you tell?)

So, Back to the trip...We met the Jonas Brothers. They were performing at Letterman and we had tickets. As we were standing in line they pulled up and were taking pics and signing things. Even though I"m not a huge fan, they were SO nice and grateful to their fans. (See Pics below)

Denzel Washington was the guest. He was great...looking...and funny. We did alot of walking around, shopping, and eating yummy food. We also went to a Yankee's game at the new stadium. It was awesome. The Yankee's were playing the Met's so it was a really fun game to be at...Good rivalry! We went to ground zero and Wall Street.

Next time we will go to the statue of liberty and Ellis Island. There wasn't enough time to do it all.

We had a great time with everyone!!! It was nice to get home to my boys though. Thanks Mom for watching my babies.

Happy Birthday Jett!

Today my baby turned 5. Where did the the time go? He has been such a joy to have in our family. He Has always been such a sweet boy with such a tender heart. I love that boy! We brought the kids to Disneyland to celebrate and we are having a ball! I will post more about the birhday festivities when I get home...

Yard Work.

I am LOVING working in my yard. I have never been much of a yard work kind of girl, but in a house like this with a yard like this it is SO fun, and SO rewarding. I mowed and weeded and weed-wacked for like 4 hours yesterday. And I felt great! I could have kept going, but my motherly duties didn't allow it. :) We have this old bench on the side of our yard that has Wisteria growing all around it...It has just bloomed and it is so pretty. Light purple flowers, and when I walk out my door I get punched in the face by the sweetest smell. I wish you could all smell it, it's AWESOME! ANd it would be a cool place to take pictures, especially when it fills in a little. Anyway, here are a few pics of part of the yard. I am going to post more tomorrow, I just got a camera so I can take pics on something other than my phone. YAY. Enjoy my garden...I am:)

Dieting

Ok...So Grey is 17 months old now and I am pretty sure I weigh about as much as I did shortly after coming home from the hospital with him...The fat has redistributed itself in various locations throughout my body of course...It's not pretty...I have a closet full of cute skinny clothes that I can't even consider wearing!

So I decided, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

I am the kind of person who NEEDS incentive. So, I set a goal and talked to Shane about a suitable "reward".

MY GOAL: To lose 15lbs by my birthday at the end of June (20th to be exact)


I"m back to a regular workout routine and I'm eating healthy! I have cut out sugar and flour from my diet. I'm also drinking my protein again. (That makes a HUGE difference BTW)

I am going to allow myself one treat a week and a "free meal" (within reason)

WHEN I do this my REWARD is: A girls Trip! A fun-filled trip to VEgas full of Shopping and Shows and you can't forget the Spa at the Encore...AMAZING!!! Shane said he would contribute to my shopping fund. So nice. And anything over 15 lbs earns me more $$$ (I"m good with 15, but whatever, 20 wouldn't be so bad)

Wish me luck. I need to lose at least 2 lbs a week.

I started just over a week ago and am already down like 5 lbs. SO I know I can do this.

One thing I have really had to watch myself on is taking bites of my kids food...I tossed some gold fish crackers in my mouth the other day at the zoo by habit and as soon as I realized what I had done I hurried and spit them out...I was always tasting their stuff. Those calories add up fast.

A Day To Remember!

Today my baby walked!!!! FINALLY!!! It's about time. We went in for his well child visit today and he wasn't even considering walking... We even discussed taking him to an orthopedic specialist if he wasn't walking by the end of the month. Alesa was babysitting tonight and when i picked up he kids she said that grey was doing a lot of walking... Sure enough, When I got home he took off! It's so awkward and cute... I'll try to post a video, but no promises. Yay! What a big boy!

Brynlee Kay Adams!!!

My sister Jenelle had her sweet baby yesterday! She is SO beautiful! I think she is exactly what I thought she would look like...The perfect blend of Shelby and Adams...Jenelle did great, smooth delivery...Born at 6:28, She weighed in at 6lbs 8oz...and 20 in long. We are so excited to have this baby in our family. Jenelle and Jon are going to be fabulous parents. Enjoy these pics of our Teenie Burrito Jr...
